Quality Engineer

Mercury Hampton Contract are currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support a major transmission / infrastructure project in Inverness.

The Role:

• Manage and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Carry out site quality inspections across civil & electrical works
• Coordinate inspections, hold points, witness points and testing
• Review subcontractor and supplier quality documentation
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions and close-out
• Ensure quality records, test results and handover documentation are completed
• Support audits, client inspections and quality reviews
• Ensure testing & commissioning activities meet approved procedures
• Compile as-built records and quality dossiers for project handover

✅ Looking for:

• Previous QA/QC experience within transmission, utilities, power or major infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of ITPs and quality management systems
• Experience with NCRs, audits and inspection documentation
• Understanding of civil & electrical installation works
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical standards
• ISO 9001 knowledge
• National Grid, DNO or EPC transmission experience is highly desirable
