Registered Manager (Ofsted) – Lead, Inspire, Transform!


Location: Longbenton - Newcastle upon Tyne
Provision: 3-Bed Children’s Home (EBD & Mild LD)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: To be determined based on experience
Reporting To: Responsible Individual


About the Role

As Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring that Ofsted requirements are met and exceeded while empowering your team to deliver outstanding care.


About the Home


Supports Children Aged 7-17 (on admission)
Specialisms: Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Mild Learning Disabilities (LD)
Focus on Therapeutic & Person-Centred Support

Who We’re Looking For


We are searching for a passionate and experienced leader who is committed to delivering exceptional care to young people and developing a strong, motivated team.


✅ Essential Requirements


Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards it)
At least 3 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
Experience in EBD, LD, SEMH, CCE, PSB, Therapeutic, or Crisis homes
Strong leadership & team-building skills


✨ Desirable Qualities


✔️ Experience leading Ofsted inspections
✔️ Passion for creating a warm, homely, and child-focused environment
✔️ A drive to exceed Ofsted standards and continuously improve care quality


Key Responsibilities


Lead & Manage the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance
Support & Develop your staff, fostering a positive and nurturing work culture
Build & Maintain strong relationships with the community and key stakeholders
Ensure Safeguarding & Compliance with Ofsted, submitting required documentation
Drive Continuous Improvement – ensuring outstanding care for every young person
