Reporting and Management Information Analyst

About the job.  

National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Reporting and Management Information Analyst to join our Cost Management team within the Enhancements Programme in Major Projects. The Reporting and Management Information Analyst will support the Project Controls Managers (PCMs) across Enhancements PMO to embed and grow the maturity of Integrated Project Controls practices.

This role will provide support to the PCMs in carrying out monthly duties across the regions to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of earned value and support in the set up and maintenance of project management baselines. This role will also provide administrative support to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of cost reporting, ensuring any variances and supportive narrative is provided.

The role will closely with PMO and delivery teams and other key business partners.

Please note this role can be based from any of our UK offices however travel to regional offices to attend team meetings will be required. 

• Support in the embedment of IPC, working closely with project teams to ensure all projects have integrated baselines / support project teams with PMB change management, providing administrative support on processes.


• Support the PCM in cost review sessions, taking notes of actions and managing improvement plans.


• Support in the coordination of cost performance and earned value reports and support the Head of Cost Management in monitoring and reporting of performance.


• Attend and participate in meetings with supply chain cost engineers (CPMS) to ensure that they comply with the required cost management procedures (I.e. Cost checklist, data quality requirements) and support the embedment of best practices at project level.


• Engage with the PMO manager and regional planning lead and support with regional activities to ensure EV is understood by project teams within region.


• Ensure that CPI and SPI guides project performance outcomes and collate and monitor corrective action plans.

About you.  

• Experience and knowledge of applying business analysis tools and techniques to requirements gathering and producing analysis and reports.


• Excellent ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.


• Evidence of analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.


• Good understanding of project cost and schedule management principles.


• Excellent IT, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
