SEN Teaching Assistant - Birmingham

We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work full-time in welcoming and supportive schools across Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience within education.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs Support students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language difficulties, and learning disabilities Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and interventions Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning outcomes Support pupils with personal development, communication, and social skills Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
We Are Looking For
Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults A patient, caring, and resilient approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine passion for supporting SEN students Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Experience
SEN Teaching Assistant experience Learning Support Assistant (LSA) experience Care Work, Support Work, Residential Care, Youth Work, Nursery, or Education experience Experience supporting Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
