Job Title: Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Eggborough, North Yorkshire

Salary: Base salary of £29,253.49, with the potential to earn up to £34,653.49 with sleep‑in shifts.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – shift pattern

Hourly Rate: Dependent on qualification and sleep-in shifts

Number of Sleeps Required: 8–10 per month

Pay Per Sleep: £45 per sleep

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: YPs with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), trauma, neglect, CSE, and CCE

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Equivalent (mandatory)

Experience in Years Required: Minimum 1 year supporting vulnerable young people

Employment Type: Permanent

  • Location: Eggborough

  • Type of YPs: EBD, trauma, neglect, CSE, CCE

  • Ofsted Rating: New provision

  • Ratio of staff to children: High staffing ratios to ensure safety and quality support

We’re seeking passionate Senior Residential Childcare Support Workers who have the empathy, resilience, and drive to support young people through challenging experiences and help them achieve their potential. You will have:



  • Experience supporting young people with complex needs

  • An understanding of safeguarding and promoting wellbeing

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to lead shifts and be a positive role model

  • A solution-focused attitude and strong team ethic

  • You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent)

  • You have only worked in HealthCare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery settings

  • You have only CQC experience and have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home
