Social Worker - Children's Services

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s CP / CIN team, based in Salford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team working with children and families subject to Child Protection (CP) and Child in Need (CIN) plans. You'll manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments, develop plans, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Manage a caseload of Child Protection and Child in Need cases.


• Complete assessments, care planning, and risk assessments.


• Undertake statutory visits and direct work with children and families.


• Chair and attend multi-agency meetings as required.


• Prepare court reports and support care proceedings where necessary.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.


• Work in partnership with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.


• Experience within Children's Services, ideally in CP/CIN, Safeguarding, or Locality Teams.


• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.


• Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.


• Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
