Teaching Assistant

Horizon Teachers are working with Primary school based in Hounslow, assisting in their search for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis from after February half-term, until July 2026 on a full-time basis.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a skilled and devoted team, working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need extra support to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.
 
As a Teaching Assistant you will work alongside teachers and other staff members ensuring children are best supported in accordance with their needs. 
 
Whether you're experienced in SEN support or looking to gain more classroom experience on your path to teaching, this school offers an inclusive and nurturing environment where staff are genuinely valued.

About the Role as a Teaching Assistant:

Supporting individual pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
Working closely with class teachers to deliver tailored interventions.
Helping pupils stay focused, engaged, and confident during lessons.
Encouraging independence, inclusion, and a love of learning.

As a Teaching Assistant - what do the school require from you?

Experience supporting children in Primary schools
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is a bonus!
A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
Confident in your ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations
