We are partnering with a leading consultancy delivering complex programmes across Energy Trading, looking for an experienced Test Manager to drive quality across business -critical trading systems.

Consulting brings constant evolution — you’ll be exposed to multiple teams, systems, and environments. Standing still isn’t an option; you’ll regularly work with new technologies, challenges, and ways of thinking.

The Role

This is a hands -on Test Manager position, combining leadership with technical involvement.

You’ll lead testing across complex trading environments while staying close to the detail — particularly across back -end systems, microservices, APIs, and data flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own test strategy, scope, and planning
  

• Lead and coordinate testing across multiple delivery streams
  

• Stay hands -on where required — supporting automation, analysis, and troubleshooting
  

• Oversee execution, reporting, and stakeholder communication
  

• Manage team performance, priorities, and delivery timelines
  

• Provide technical leadership across back -end architectures and distributed systems
  

• Support implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
  

• Build strong client relationships and contribute to account growth
  

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Test Manager within complex, business -critical environments
  

• Experience in Energy Trading or Capital Markets is highly desirable
  

• A strong understanding of the trading landscape — how trading systems, workflows, and data operate
  

• If you haven’t worked directly in trading, experience in closely related financial services environments is essential
  

• Comfortable working across back -end system architecture, microservices, APIs, and data testing
  

• Highly familiar working in automation -led environments, with much of the work focused around C#
  

• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g. Reqnroll), along with Git and SQL
  

• Ability and willingness to remain hands -on when required
  

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  

• Experience working in consultancy or client -facing environments is highly desirable
  

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
