Typical duties include (but are not limited to): Production of engineering drawings and bills of materials in support of site engineering programmes. Correct application of BS 8888 and ISO9001. In accordance with internal sign off procedures. Correct application of materials and tolerances for the purposes of form fit and function. Liaising with Product, Process and Manufacturing engineers to support their process and equipment requirements. The role holder is responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety ensuring high standards for safety, health and environment (SHE) in our organisation are maintained. This includes co-operating and following all reasonable instruction, information and training reporting work-related hazards or incidents and using all equipment for the purpose intended. More detailed responsibilities are captured within the Company Health & Safety Policy (759/OF/016) and the Company Environmental Policy (759/OF/029). Knowledge: •Knowledge and complete understanding of BS 8888 and ISO9001. •A broad knowledge of engineering materials and material properties, manufacturing process and application. •Understanding and appreciation for suitable GD and T tolerances. •Knowledge of stock components, fasteners, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum and/or food industry pipework, valves, fittings etc. Skills •Selection and application of one off and batch production processes, for customised equipment. •Understanding of practical application of design for assembly process’s.
