Job Description:

DELIVERY

We are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to join a busy furniture delivery team based in South Ockendon / Aveley.

LOCATION: South Ockendon / Aveley

PAY:
£14.00 per hour PAYE
+ £12 tax-free meal allowance per day
£15.69 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 5am/6am start until finish
MINIMUM: 10 hours paid per day – ALL BREAKS ARE PAID
JOB TYPE: Temp to Perm

THE ROLE

You will work as part of a 2-person delivery team with another Van Driver, sharing the driving throughout the day.

You will deliver furniture directly to customers' homes, carry the furniture into the property and assemble the furniture once delivered.

DUTIES

Share the driving with another Van Driver
Deliver furniture safely to customers' homes
Load and unload furniture
Carry furniture into customers' properties
Assemble furniture in customers' homes
Work as part of a professional 2-person delivery team
Provide good customer service
Complete delivery paperwork and documentation

REQUIREMENTS

Full UK driving licence
Previous van driving experience preferred
Furniture delivery or assembly experience is an advantage
Physically fit due to lifting and moving furniture
Good customer service skills
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working long days with a minimum of 10 hours paid per day
