Careers at Becket Family Of Services

The Becket Family of Services has been serving youth since 1964 with 45 locations in New England. Becket’s Community Based Services are intended to provide short term support and stabilization. As such, services provided by the Clinician and their teams should generally be focused on helping clients and their families identify and utilize long-term community supports and natural supports as well as agencies in the community. Within that framework, the Clinician role is to provide overall leadership on the case in terms of permanency and family and youth guided treatment. The Clinician is responsible for establishing clear treatment goals and clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment and interventions. The Clinician directs the activities of other team members (EG. Permanency Coaches) to ensure client and family interactions are goal oriented and clinically appropriate. The Clinician will provide case management and clinical (individual, family, group) support to children and their families. The Clinician will perform some or all of the following services: provide clinical support for individuals and their families to overcome obstacles, identify strengths and develop support networks that will help them overcome barriers; provide support, education and guidance to assist in developing structure, routines, effective parenting skills, positive communication, safety and behavioral plans, as well as hygiene plans. Other services provided are based on individual and family needs (i.e., nutrition and meal planning, household budgeting, etc.)
