English Language Teacher (ESL) for children in Naperville, IL

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English (ESL) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our client in Naperville.

Job Information:

Ref. C197154: The student is a 7-year-old child

• Location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Naperville, Illinois, 60564 (Near: AMC Naperville 16)
• Availability: Weekdays after 4:30 p.m.
• Lesson frequency: Two or three times per week
• Lesson duration: 60 minutes per session
• Current English level: Novice high
• Native language: Portuguese
• Student's language needs and goals: Cultural adaptation, daily communication
• Additional information: He goes to an American school and speaks a bit of English

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
• Degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
• Experience teaching children
