Position Data:

Title: Maintenance Laborer Mower

Grade: 2 Non-exempt 

Immediate Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor

Basic Function or Position Summary:

Performs to a basic skill level various assignments in the fields of electricity, carpentry, plumbing, cleaning, and general maintenance with some supervision and guidance. Keeps premises of office building, apartment house, or other commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.  Pay Rate is $15.76 per hour

Requirements

Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

• Performs pick-up and deliveries as required by Maintenance Manager
• Performs ground maintenance tasks as assigned
• Performs general grounds keeping and landscaping 
• Has some basic ability to trouble shoot while on the jobsite and notifies Maintenance Manager of job requirements
• Performs other related duties as requested
• Maintains strict confidentiality at all times
• Promotes agency mission
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow.
• Delivers messages.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.

A. Internal: Building Staff, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Staff, and COI staff

B. External: Suppliers, Customers

Supervisory Scope:

•  None

Organizational Responsibilities:

• General duties for overall program not listed as specific job tasks under Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties, for instance activities shared by all workers like facilitating fire drills, participating in public relations activities (Open House, etc.), sharing responsibility for meeting facilitation or minutes, attending/working fairs and shows

Knowledge, Skills Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic skill level in grounds maintenance, electricity, carpentry, plumbing, cleaning, and general maintenance
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good team building skill

Special Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel throughout the county
• Must be able to perform physical labor with unrestricted ability to lift. 
• Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, bend and kneel
• Pre employment drug testing required, subject to random drug and alcohol testing
• Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times
