What You’ll Do:
- Translate scripted scenes into cinematic visual sequences using our AI production tools
- Select, refine, and iterate on generated footage with a strong eye for tone, performance, and composition
- Shape narrative pacing by knowing when to linger, when to cut, and when to simplify
- Build cohesive short films from script to final cut
- Push back thoughtfully on scripts, shot choices, or visual directions when something isn’t landing
- Maintain emotional continuity and character integrity throughout the edit
- Balance creative ambition with practical execution
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrated experience in narrative filmmaking
- Strong editing instincts and a sharp sense of timing
- A cinematic eye: you understand framing, mood, and visual storytelling
- Confidence making creative decisions independently
- The ability to spot when something feels “off” and articulate why
- Detail orientation without losing sight of the bigger story
- Comfort working from script and shaping narrative arcs
- Experience editing narrative content (short films, features, scripted digital content, etc.)
- A curiosity about new creative tools (AI experience not required)

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
This is a freelance position. Payment will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and alignment with the requirements of the role, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks.
