Position Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Supervisor: CEO
Position Function: The primary functions of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner shall be to perform all duties regarding day‑to‑day medical operations of the organization. This shall include review of client files and their treatment plans, monitoring program outcomes, and program development. The Medical Director/Physician’s tasks shall be inclusive of, but not be limited to, the following:
Educational Requirement:
Medical Degree from an Accredited Medical School; Board certification in Psychiatry and have a valid CPR and First Aid certification
Licensure and/or Certification: Must be a clinically licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. First aid and CPR certification and be a Board Registered Supervisor. Valid state driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and ability to utilize personal car for travel within the region.
Experience: At least one year experience, to include demonstrated leadership, familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and compliance related operations of the organization. Knowledge of current evidence based practices and field implementation of those practices. Knowledge of Maryland and DC regulations. Strong management skills to address personnel development and issues. Teamwork oriented, flexibility in working assignments and locations. Research and training orientation to motivate employees. Data management skills for evaluation and outcome measurement for services and contracts. Excellent written and oral communication skills, solution-focused problem solving skills,
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of computer systems. Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with board members, community leaders, professionals and staff. Knowledge of professional standards and ethics for various disciplines.
