Works in a hospital setting delivering interventional radiology services.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing diagnostic-quality radiographs for interventional procedures
- Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist the Radiologist during procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment; report malfunctions to the supervisor
- Ensure timely completion of procedures and assist with room turnover; support colleagues as needed
- Maintain medication security and uphold patient rights; provide care with sensitivity to all age groups
- Document procedures in HIS/RIS/PACS and participate in performance improvement activities as warranted
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and hospital policies; handle technical inquiries from physicians with professional communication

Requirements
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of radiology experience with Interventional Radiology exposure
- VIR certification preferred; Interventional Radiology experience required
- Proficient with HIS/RIS/PACS; able to work effectively in a hospital setting
- Availability for on-call shifts and flexibility to meet unit needs
