Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Hanford, CA. Start date 05/26/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $2,142 to $2,304 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days (day shift). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR, under the direction of the surgeon and OR team
- Prepare the operative suite, equipment, and supplies; ensure sterile technique and infection control standards
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; manage anesthesia-related needs and communicate changes to the team
- Administer medications as ordered; assist with anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence as appropriate
- Assist with robot-assisted DaVinci procedures and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient workflows
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner); communicate patient status and post-op care needs to receiving teams
- Participate in on-call rotations (Friday call alternating 1st and 2nd call; one weekend call every 5–6 weeks)

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility per state requirements)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- DaVinci robotic experience required
- Cerner experience required; Epic experience preferred
- 13-week travel assignment; ability to work 10-hour shifts; on-call availability as described
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment and collaborate with surgical teams
