Responsibilities
- Provide direct intraoperative nursing care in the OR for assigned surgical cases, maintaining a sterile field and assisting the surgical team as needed
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, support anesthesia providers, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Prepare the OR and equipment, manage instrument counts, and assist with positioning, draping, and specimen handling
- Document intraoperative care, assist with room turnover, and communicate patient status to the circulating nurse and recovery staff
- Adhere to hospital policies, perioperative standards, and any department-specific competency requirements and timeframes for ongoing certifications

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (American Heart Association) required
- ACLS (American Heart Association) required
- Dysrhythmia required
- Ability to work in the operating room environment and maintain sterile technique
- Willingness to meet department-specific certification and competency timelines as described in the job notes
