Want a summer job where you can build your leadership skills, support young people, and keep a busy concession stand running smoothly? We’re hiring a Weekend Concession Stand Lead for the Foster and Becks Pool concession stands — someone who works regular weekday shifts with the team and steps into a higher-responsibility leadership role on Saturdays and Sundays.

During the week, you’ll work alongside the other concession stand staff and Summer Youth Experience trainees. On the weekends, you’re the one in charge — overseeing operations, staff, financial accuracy, and customer service while the Job Coach/Site Leader is off-site.

What You’ll Do

During Weekday Shifts

• Work as part of the concession team alongside other support staff.
• Support Summer Youth Experience trainees with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they practice job skills.
• Assist with food prep, customer service, cleaning, stocking, and daily operations.
• Model professionalism, teamwork, and positive work habits.

During Weekend Lead Shifts (with Incentive Pay)

• Serve as the on-site leader when the Job Coach/Site Leader is not present.
• Manage support staff, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Oversee financial operations, including accurate cash handling, deposits, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain the weekend staffing schedule and fill open shifts as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health codes, agency standards, and licensure requirements.
• Keep the concession stand clean, safe, and running smoothly.
• Report all incidents immediately and maintain a positive, professional environment.

Weekend Lead Incentive Pay

All scheduled weekend lead shifts come with additional incentive pay to recognize the increased responsibility of overseeing operations independently.

What We’re Looking For

• 18+ with High School diploma/GED preferred
• Experience in food service, customer service, developmental disabilities, and/or staff supervision preferred
• Commitment to working alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Consistent availability between 12 PM and 8 PM as this short term assignment cannot accommodate conflicts such as sports practices, camps, or extended vacations
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to support youth with varying learning needs
• Basic computer, math, and communication skills
• Reliable cash-handling skills
• Positive attitude, neat appearance, and professionalism
• Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks
• Valid Ohio driver’s license (less than 6 points) preferred 

Schedule & Work Environment

• Weekday shifts + scheduled Weekend Lead shifts
• Indoor concession stand environment with moderate noise
• Physical activity required (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs)
