Care for emergencies, render first-aid and, if necessary, make arrangements for further treatment
Contact parents to advise them of the child's illness, if required; notify the school office concerning children released from school because of illness
Under the direction of the Principal, inquire into unexplained pupil absences
Check the immunization records of all students to ensure compliance with R.S.A. 200:38; notify parents of deficiencies and inform the Principal of non-compliance
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutes, regulations, and policies including those of the administration of prescribed medication
Maintain health, medication, clinic, and examination records and files; keep a daily log of activities; maintain supply inventory in compliance with district and state nursing regulations, policies, and procedures
Assist and advise LPNs, LNAs, and teachers assigned to special needs students or classrooms
Qualifications:
Certified in Basic Life Support CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator)
Prior experience with pediatric, adolescent or urgent/emergency care
