1st Asst Auditor

Basic Qualifications
1.    
Bachelor degree in accounting.
2.    
Certified Public Accountant License preferred 
3.    
Four years' experience performing audits.
4.    
Governmental accounting experience helpful.
5.    
Working knowledge of Excel for Windows.
6.    
Must have strong communication skills.

Examples of Job Duties
1.    
Perform tasks and duties assigned by the County Auditor.
2.    
Assist in developing the annual audit plan.
3.    
Maintain, enhance and develop audit programs based on necessary internal controls and statutory requirements of the various county offices.
4.    
Communicate audit findings and recommend necessary improvements.
5.    
Assist in performing fund accounting functions.
6.    
Assist with processing and proofing accounts payable and payroll.
7.    
Assist in enforcing the laws governing county finances.
8.    
Backup A/P and Payroll.
