1St Shift Accounting Livestock Clerk

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:                             Accounting Specialist- Livestock Clerk                        

DEPARTMENT:                      Accounting

 LOCATION:                           Ottumwa, Iowa           

 SALARY CLASS:                  Salaried Non Exempt 1st shift

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbally.
• Excellent computer skills required, including Excel.
• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Previous accounting/office experience preferred
• Attention to details & accuracy a must
• Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates)

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily and Weekly Balance of Hogs delivered
• Auditing livestock tickets
• Verifying daily and weekly payments to producers and carriers
• Communication with livestock producers and carriers
• Perform facility misc. livestock accounting functions
• Crosstrain on roles within the accounting department
• Meet departmental deadlines as required
• Complete special projects as needed or requested
• Full-time, Saturday work as required
• Perform various other tasks as needed to ensure efficiency in the accounting department
