6:00am ~ 4:00pm

~70,000, salary dependent on experience

Eligible for benefits first of the month after hire

Additional compensation available 

Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed

Additional pay to compensate for Saturdays

Role

The purpose of the role of Production Supervisor is to supervise production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures, and to ensure products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.

Responsibilities 

• Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures
• Review schedules and adjust materials, yield, and labor effectively
• Conduct employee performance reviews in accordance with Paylocity
• Own and oversee the daily shift schedule – ensuring all breaks and employee welfare is accounted for
• Coach and hold accountable to all employees on the production floor
• Complete regularly scheduled performance reviews; document any corrective actions taken with employees in Paylocity
• Conduct interviews, hire, performance manage, and terminate, if necessary, production employees with the support of Human Resources
• Work with Recruiting Manager to establish ideal production staffing numbers and maintain communication about employee turnover 
• Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
• Communicate daily with Director of Operations and other necessary plant leaders
• Schedule and conduct weekly shift meetings to discuss necessary KPIs 
• Responsible for meeting shift production goals in a timely manner
• Review and improve labor variance as determined by Operation Leaders
• Collaborate with other departments to comply with USDA & FDA regulations
• Ensures compliance with SQF level code of practice and HACCP regulations and programs
• Perform all operations in accordance with SOPs
• Ensure a clean and safe work area (Slip, trip and falls)
• Assure shift paperwork is completed daily and is accurate prior to turning in
• Collaborate with Demand Planner to create and produce products as indicated by the schedule

Education & Training Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Work Experience Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in food manufacturing
• Prior leadership experience a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull upwards to 25lbs
• Exposure to variation in temperature
• Working with ingredients that fall under the top allergens as directed by USDA
