20051 – Technician II
Location – Montgomery, AL

PURPOSE

Technician II assists in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems. They maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation and maintain an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies. The Technician II troubleshoots, maintains, and monitors, external and internal hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Monitor and respond to problems with MES computer systems. This includes covering phone calls and radio calls from production and # maintenance. Complete periodic checklists regarding MES systems. # Promptly respond to and resolve issues and requests as they arise. Work with other Analysts and other MES team members to resolve issues.
Escalate issues which cannot be handled. Work in both a control room and on the plant
floor. Work overtime as needed to support production.
Reconfigure and replace computers, scanners, and printers as they fail.
Attend some holidays and the summer shutdown period to perform # maintenance and cleanouts of computers and MES equipment throughout the plant.
Assist Associates, Sr. Associates, and Managers with installations and modifications regarding MES systems. This includes network cabling, rack moving, computer installation/repair, and scanner installation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma, Technical/College courses, or relevant experience
1+ years of IT experience
Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software
Ability to think analytically.
Comptia A+ certification preferred

Hourly Rate - $23.00 per hour plus OT and Benefits
