• Knowledge of and ability to operate multi-color presses under guidance of press technician

Education & Experience Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two years related work experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviews job jackets for specified instructions such as color matching, bindery specifications, ink colors and coating preferences; ensures proofs are available for each job and coordinates with the plate-making area as needed.
• Assists with maintenance of machines; assists the Sr. Press Operators with running Aflac and Commercial jobs by running a variety of different job types while preserving high productivity and low spoilage.
• Verifies jobs so that stock is the correct size, weight, type, and color for the job; assists with ensuring settings are correct and sample sheets are taken throughout the run; ensures that the maintenance log is maintained
• Follows all required press-room procedures; follows all safety rules and procedures, and uses required safety equipment (earplugs and goggles) and assists in cleaning work area at the end of the shift
• May operate multi-color press at full capacity in the absence of senior level pressmen.
• Performs other related duties as required

The salary range for this job is $40,000 to $50,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
