2nd Shift Forklift Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to move materials efficiently throughout the manufacturing floor. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers, to transport goods within the facility.
• Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently using RF scanners.
• Moving material containers while ensuring proper handling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and report any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• 2nd Shift (2 PM to 10 PM)
• Overtime as needed

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Certification for forklift operation is highly desirable.

 Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift
