Job Description:

Join a leading food manufacturing company committed to quality and safety. As part of the team, you’ll maintain and operate refrigeration systems, primarily focusing on ammonia refrigeration, while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

This is a 2nd shift position, operating from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM. You’ll work in a dynamic team environment and have opportunities for growth based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and piping.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration and related industrial systems.
• Work in diverse environments, adhering to safety standards (GMP, SQF).
• Communicate effectively with management, quality assurance, vendors, and USDA.
• Complete necessary paperwork and follow procedures independently.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of recent work experience in industrial maintenance, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program in the last 3 years.
• Ability to operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to pass a physical exam and pulmonary test (breathing test), including respirator training.
• Must be able to work in extreme environments (heat, cold, rain, etc.) and perform physical tasks such as climbing and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with refrigeration or Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Familiarity with plant compressed air systems and water supply systems (e.g., glycol, hot water, chill water).
