3rd Grade LS Teacher

Savannah Christian Preparatory School, a prominent school in Savannah, Georgia with a rich history and known for its strong liberal arts curriculum, seeks faculty for the upcoming academic year. Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum development- Create lesson plans aligned with applicable standards and student needs, incorporating diverse teaching methods and activities to cater to different learning styles.
• Instructional delivery- Teach concepts clearly and effectively, utilizing visual aids, technology, and real-world applications to enhance understanding.
• Student assessment- Regularly monitor student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation to identify strengths and areas needing additional support.
• Individualized learning- Provide differentiated instruction to address the diverse needs of students, offering extra help or enrichment activities as required.
• Classroom management- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment, promoting active participation and student engagement.
• Communication- Regularly communicate with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance, progress, and any concerns.
• Professional development- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on current teaching strategies and best practices.

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in the appropriate subject is required at a minimum; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Formal classroom teaching experience preferred.
