Job Summary

The 3rd Shift Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of our facility during overnight hours. This role focuses on intensive floor care, general sanitation, and basic preventative maintenance of our refrigeration units to ensure the store is clean and fully prepared for morning customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Floor Care: Operate commercial floor scrubbers and buffers to maintain, polish, and clean hard floor surfaces.
• General Cleaning: Sweep, dust, and mop hallways, lobbies, offices, and common areas.
• Cooler & Freezer Maintenance: Perform routine care of cold storage units, including regular de-icing and replacing evaporator/condenser fans to ensure they remain in proper working order.
• Safety & Maintenance: Secure the building at the end of the shift, report any maintenance hazards or damages, and safely handle cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Physical Strength: Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
• Equipment Experience: Prior experience operating a floor buffer and scrubbing machine is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude for performing minor freezer/cooler maintenance, such as replacing fan motors. (On-the-job training can be provided for the right candidate).
• Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, work in cold environments (coolers/freezers), and perform repetitive physical tasks for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
• Independence: A self-starter who can work efficiently with minimal supervision overnight.
• Reliability: Strong attendance record and dependable transportation for late-night/early-morning shifts.
