4th Grade Teacher_ Long Term Substitute

Louisiana Key Academy – Northshore is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Guest Teacher to join our team for December-Mid February.

This position will provide classroom instruction and support during a temporary teacher leave. The successful candidate will maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment while continuing to support the academic and social-emotional needs of our students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality instruction aligned with grade-level standards and school expectations
• Follow established lesson plans, curriculum, and classroom routines
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Implement accommodations and instructional supports as needed
• Monitor student progress and communicate concerns with the appropriate staff
• Collaborate with school leadership and other members of the instructional team
• Maintain consistent classroom procedures and expectations
• Support the mission and specialized instructional model of Louisiana Key Academy

Qualifications:

• Louisiana teaching certification preferred
• Experience working with elementary/middle school students preferred
• Experience working with students with dyslexia or learning differences is a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
