7834 Automotive Catia V5 Engineer/Designer IP and HVAC

This is an excellent job form someone that knows Catia V5 and has automotive instrument panel and HVAC experience. New programs are approved and are being phased in right now.

Job Functions:

* Design and package of IP components and HVAC packaging (heater and air conditioning).

* Design and package vents, air routing, brackets and heat shields.

* Package AC compressors on engine in surrounding environment.

* Package AC condensers on cooling package surrounding environment.

* Very good understanding of tooling issues and requirements for bending/brazing tubes and steel brackets.

* Very good understanding of hose clocking design and minimum clearance issues to other components.

* Release assembly and installation diagrams into the client database PDM systems.

* Release and update bills of material and design charts.

* Answer Shop Calls and Custom Work Orders with new designs.

* Provide detailed .JPG pictures to explain design intent for meetings and presentations.

Additional Information:

* New programs being kicked off and this is a Long-term assignment.

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be able to research packaging constraints * Work with others and attending mock-up workshops and review of production trucks.

* Must be able to develop solutions that benefit all groups, not just one area.

* Must be able to create Clients Bill of Materials and use their (PDM systems).

* Must be hands-on type of person that doesn't mind reviewing real trucks.

* Some knowledge of IP and HVAC systems is preferred.

Education:

* BSME preferred, but NOT REQUIRED.

CAD Requirements:

* CATIA V5 4,000 hrs min, 3D Solids, GSD Advanced Surfacing, Drafting, Assemblies

* GD&T knowledge and or Trained is preferred.

* Batavia or Philpot automotive design school is Awesome!!!!!
