Job Description - ABA RBT Registered Behavior Technician

NOW HIRING: Registered Behavior Technician RBT or Behavior Technician BT

As an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT), you know the power of your work and the impact you make every day in the lives of your clients and their families. Here is your opportunity to work for a company that values you as much as you value your work.

Our client is a BCBA owned and operated in-home ABA Therapy Practice located in Columbus, Ohio. We are seeking a Behavior Technician who is committed to working with individuals with Autism in the home and community setting through treatment, to facilitate their growth and development.

We're looking for candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, and a background in behavioral programs. A successful candidate will work well individually as well as part of an enthusiastic team that supports the individuals in our care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work one-on-one with a client in the comfort of their own home.
  • Monitor and record behaviors of individuals with developmental disabilities as appropriate.
  • Communicate and interact with other staff members and families as appropriate.
  • Follow behavioral and medical protocols when necessary.
  • Help administer assessments under the direction of the supervising BCBA
  • Provide quality 1:1 instruction to clients to improve social skills, communication, and behavior.
  • Record objective session data to reflect clients progress
  • Collect and graph data daily
  • Replace targets and programs when mastered
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of behavior interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to travel to and from client homes between the hours of 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Preferred experience includes registered behavior technician (RBT), behavior technician (BT), ABA, autism support, behavior support, special education, working with individuals with disabilities, classroom assistance, behavior technician, behavior interventionist, and paraprofessional
  • Must abide to RBT Code of Ethics
  • Must maintain RBT log based on BACB guidelines
  • Must adhere to scheduled work hours and scheduled student sessions
  • Must report to work each day, on time, and prepared to complete job responsibilities
  • Will approach job with a positive attitude.
  • Must communicate clearly and in a professional manner to coworkers and supervisors regarding student needs, personal needs, questions, interventions, schedules, and conflicts.
  • Must communicate clearly and in a professional manor to parents
  • Must be able to complete a criminal history background check and all of the appropriate clearances and documentation listed below.
