AC218 - Full-Time Housekeeper - Upper East Side, NY

A warm, wonderful family of 5 on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, polished, and detail-oriented full-time housekeeper to join their household team. The family resides in a two-floor apartment just under 4,500 square feet and is looking for a professional who takes pride in maintaining a highly organized and well-run home environment.

The ideal candidate is experienced in high-level housekeeping and laundry care, thrives in a collaborative household setting, and has a positive, team-oriented attitude. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone discreet, proactive, flexible, and comfortable working in a friendly household alongside existing staff.

The general schedule will be Sunday through Thursday from 8:00/9:00am to 6:00/7:00pm, with flexibility depending on the family’s needs. The family is also open to the candidate working alternate days and times; however, Sunday is not negotiable. The family spends the month of August in the Hamptons, and the candidate will be required to live-in and work 4 days a week, and will have 3 days off during that time. The candidate will be able to go home on days off, and commuting expenses will be covered.

• All aspects of full-charge housekeeping for a two-floor residence 
• Expert-level laundry and garment care, including: 
  • Stain treatment 
  • Ironing and steaming 
  • Care for delicate and high-end clothing 
  • Closet and wardrobe organization
• Maintain overall household organization and cleanliness to a high standard 
• Changing of linens and making beds
• Assist with tidying and maintaining shared spaces alongside the nanny 
• Keep an inventory of household cleaning supplies and notify appropriate staff when to reorder
• Table setting and household presentation would be a plus. 
• Work collaboratively with additional household staff 

• Excellent laundry and wardrobe management skills – ability to read labels and follow instructions
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and polished 
• Friendly, easygoing, and team-oriented personality 
• Maintains professionalism, discretion, and efficiency in a staffed home environment  
• Comfortable working in a home with school-aged children 
• Flexible and adaptable with scheduling needs

• Wear the uniform provided by the family 
• Must be able to work in the Hamptons in August
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of proper cleaning techniques 
• Legal to work in the U.S.

This is a salaried position of $100k+ commensurate with experience. The family is offering a competitive benefits package.
