Job Description:

This position is responsible for leading a team of sales support while actively supporting day-to-day customers and order execution. This is a hand-on, player-coach role focused on ensuring accurate, timely order processing, strong customer communication, and efficient internal coordination across sales, logistics, and operations. The role is responsible and accountable for supervising Sales support staff.  

Requirements:

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Sales support
• Set daily priorities and ensure workload is balanced across the team
• Provide coverage for team members as needed, including direct customer and order support
• Monitor team performance and providing ongoing feedback and training
• Serve as an escalation point for customer inquiries and issues
• Ensure accurate and timely entry, processing, and follow-up for customer orders
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers through proactive communication
• Support complex or high-priority orders directly
• Coordinate closely with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
• Identify and resolve order issues, delays, and discrepancies
• Support pricing, quoting, and order adjustments as needed
• Help drive consistency in processes and communication across teams
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times
• Implement standard work and best practices for the team
• Assist in system optimization (NetSuite, RF-Smart, or other tools)
• Coordinate product samples and presentation materials 
• Work closely with vendors and customers to obtain product specs and images
• Assist Sales with administrative support and coordinate various functions to meet deadlines
• Create and manage sales orders and shipments between vendors and customers
• Participate in customer visits occasionally 

Qualifications/Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, customer service, or order management 
• 1-2 years of leadership or team lead experience preferred
• Strong understanding of order flow, logistics, and customer coordination
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
