Account Executive - Inside Sales

As part of the Inside Sales team, the Account Executive - Inside Sales is responsible for proactively managing customer programs through new opportunity identification, upsell and cross-sell execution to enable growth. This account management-oriented position will focus on revenue growth by providing solutions to meet customer needs while uncovering and selling new opportunities for additional service signings and quota attainment. This position manages relationships and acts in an advisory role for an assigned set of Flexential’s customers. While the position is located centrally in Collegeville, PA, the subset of accounts can be located across the United States.

Successful candidates will have prior Sales/Account Management experience and a proven track record of being able to craft value driven messaging, using the framework of the Flexential platform to drive incremental growth across a dedicated portfolio of accounts.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Builds and maintains customer relationships by actively listening to understand the organizational business objectives and goals.


• Ensures frequent communication to keep customers educated on emerging industry trends related to customers’ IT management needs.


• Responsible for key account selling opportunities, including responses to RFPs, conducting competitive research and maintaining knowledge of Flexential’s product offerings.


• Partners with the Customer Success team to help facilitate resolution of any customer issues that are roadblocks to the customer experience.


• Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly bookings/signings quotas for assigned book of business by following the defined sales process.


• Tracks and manages customer activity and forecasting using Salesforce.com.


• Conducts analysis such as customer needs analysis, service gap analysis, and compliance assessments.


• Manages key activity metrics, including outbound calls, proactive emails, scheduled meetings, and inbound lead follow-up for assigned accounts.


• Responsible for maintaining reports on lead generation activity and other quantifiable sales and marketing objective measurements.


• Manages both internal and external relationships.


• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years sales experience in technology sales.


• Experience with or desire to learn more about colocation, cloud and other product offerings.


• Ability to demonstrate and maintain sales processes.


• Enjoys working in a collaborative, positive, fast-paced team environment.


• Ability to partner, influence and negotiate.


• Possesses general business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.


• Moderate keyboard usage.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: Hourly salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $29.00 - $31.00. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.

Variable Pay: This role is eligible for commission. The expected annual commission target is $25,200 based on achievement of targets and other performance indicators.
