Account Manager

Job Description

JB Harris Logistics LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with our OEM partners, ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the logistics industry, particularly in the transportation and storage of heavy equipment, and will excel at managing multiple client accounts efficiently.

 Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.


• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.


• Ensure customer needs are met by coordinating with internal teams.


• Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Utilize CRM software to track client interactions and maintain accurate records.


• Provide regular updates to clients regarding logistics services, schedules, and any relevant changes.


• Conduct routine check-ins with clients to assess their needs and identify potential service improvements.

Logistics Coordination:

• Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of transportation and storage services.


• Monitor logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery and optimal storage conditions for heavy equipment.


• Provide clients with accurate updates on shipment statuses and logistics schedules.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare reports on account performance and client feedback for management review.


• Analyze service trends and client data to identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in logistics and heavy equipment transportation.


• Contribute to the development of customer service strategies and initiatives to enhance client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in account management or a related field within the logistics or transportation industry.


• Strong knowledge of transportation and storage of heavy equipment is preferred.


• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.


• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts.


• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within a team.
