Who You Are

As an Account Manager – Managed IT Services (internally titled Partner Executive) serving Buffalo, NY and the surrounding areas, you are a relationship-driven business leader who builds trust, creates meaningful partnerships, and helps organizations achieve their goals through strategic technology solutions. This is a hybrid account management and business development role. You'll own a portfolio of existing ITPartners+ partners, and the recurring revenue associated with those relationships, while also building new relationships and bringing new partners to ITPartners+.

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to current partners, uncover opportunities to create additional value, and actively develop new business throughout the Buffalo market.

Protect and Grow Existing Partner MRR | Build and Win New Partner MRR

What You Will Do

Partner Relationships & Growth:

• Own and grow an assigned portfolio of ITPartners+ partners and recurring revenue.


• Build trusted relationships with business owners, executives, and key stakeholders.


• Understand each partner's business, goals, challenges, technology environment, and future priorities.


• Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through additional technology, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and business solutions.


• Lead strategic partner conversations around priorities, risks, and upcoming initiatives.


• Collaborate with engineering, project, sales, and service teams to deliver a consistent partner experience.


• Take ownership of communication when challenges arise and help coordinate the right resources toward resolution.

New Partner Development:

• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective partners throughout the Buffalo market.


• Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, community involvement, and relationship building.


• Develop relationships with business owners and executive-level decision makers.


• Lead discovery conversations focused on business goals, technology challenges, risk, and future needs.


• Collaborate internally to develop solutions and proposals aligned with prospective partner needs.


• Own opportunities through the sales process and convert new relationships into long-term ITPartners+ partnerships.


• Help grow ITPartners+' presence and relationships within the Buffalo business community.

Your Skills and Background

• Bring 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, client success, or business development.


• Is comfortable owning both an existing book of business and a new-business pipeline.


• Enjoys hunting for opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.


• Communicate, negotiate, and present confidently with stakeholders at every level.


• Use strong relationship-building skills to establish trust and rapport with partners.


• Understand IT services and connect technology solutions to partner business needs.


• Work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate CRM activity.


• MSP or technology industry experience and a bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field are preferred.
