Position Summary
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing an assigned book of personal insurance clients while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting account retention efforts. This role works closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal team members to ensure accurate coverage placement, policy servicing, and proactive account management.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage and service an assigned book of personal lines insurance accounts.
- Provide outstanding customer service through timely, professional communication.
- Review policy renewals and identify opportunities to improve or expand client coverage.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and new business requests.
- Prepare quotes, coverage comparisons, and insurance proposals.
- Work directly with insurance carriers to resolve client issues and advocate for client needs.
- Support account retention by proactively addressing coverage concerns and service needs.
- Identify opportunities for account rounding and additional coverage recommendations.
- Follow agency workflows and procedures while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation within agency management systems.
- Assist with premium allocations, payment schedules, and resolution of accounting discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client, employee, carrier, and agency information.
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Position Details
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Arrangement: Eligible for a hybrid work schedule after six months of employment, based on performance, experience, and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Two or more years of insurance industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
- Insurance industry designation (CISR, CIC, CRM, or similar)
- Experience servicing personal lines insurance accounts
