Accountant (Financial Services Firm)

Job Description:

A well-known Financial Services Firm is New York, NY is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created position that will work closely with the Controller in Management Company accounting. The ideal candidate will exhibit a vast knowledge for Accounting and the financial statements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monthly close
• Journal entry preparation
• Financial statement reporting for the firm
• Internal ad-hoc requests
• Many other responsibilities

Job Requirements:

• Public accounting with CPA a plus
• Strong communication skills, presence and previous performance ratings
• Management company or non-financial services corporate accounting experience
• 2-4 years professional, relevant experience

Compensation:

• $100,000 - $125,000
