Job Summary: Assists Accounting Department in developing and maintaining reliable accounting information on income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital as a basis for management planning and decision-making, and for fulfilling reporting requirements.

Basic qualifications:

• High School Education with a two or four year Degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting work experience.


• Excellent computer skills in keying and spreadsheet preparation including Excel and Word.


• Excellent organizational and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently but also work together as a team.


• Excellent software-related skills


• Ability to stay calm in a busy working environment


• Excellent time management skills

Specific Job Functions:

• Is responsible for the balancing of all applications (Loans, DDA, CD'S) and assists in general ledger reconciliation, analysis of financial accounts, and preparation and keying of journal entries.


• Daily keying of accounts payable.


• Assists in monthly accounting functions such as prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, etc.


• Assists in preparing monthly and annual reports for the Bank.


• Assists in preparing monthly reports for the Board of Directors.


• Assists the accounting supervisor in all other areas as needed.
