Activities Assistant

Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, at 1579 Freehold Road, Toms River has an immediate need for 2 part-time Activities Assistants.

It is not required, but ideal that the candidate has experience working with the adult population. As an Activities Assistant the job duties will include leading and supervising recreational programs, such as Morning Coffee Social, Exercise Class, Arts & Crafts/Painting programs, Cooking demonstrations, Bingo, and conduct one-on-one Room visits with Residents. As an Activity Assistant, employees encourage resident participation and promotes socialization.

Applicants must be compassionate, and understanding of those with mental and physical limitations. We are looking for someone who is creative, hands-on, and can think quickly to offer solutions and adaptations. Applicant must be able to work well with a team, as well as lead a group of residents independently.

Work Location: In Person

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20- 24 per week
