Job Description - Activities Supervisor(EX)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the CAPLICO Core Values are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times.
  • Ensure that all activity department procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
  • Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the activity department.
  • Plan, develop, organize and implement activity programs that encourages and promotes residents to maintain and develop their highest potential for independent living through their participation in planned recreational and other activities.
  • Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.
  • Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting such to the Executive Director as required.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
  • Involve residents and families in planning facility activity programs.
  • Assist in arranging transportation to other facilities when necessary.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
  • Assist with maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the activity department.
  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
  • Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
  • Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident’s response to the service.
  • Maintain a reference library of written material, laws, etc., necessary for complying with current standards and regulations and that will provide assistance in maintaining a quality activity program.
  • Involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.
  • Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.
  • May perform other reasonable duties as directed by the Executive Director.
