Job Description - Acute Care Inpatient Experienced Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine

UW Medical Center-Montlake has outstanding opportunities for experienced acute care Registered Nurses.  Current inpatient acute care RN openings may include full time, part time, and per diem opportunities in areas such as Complex Med-Surg, Oncology, Cardiology, Progressive Care, Rehab, and Transplant.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Typically 36 or 40 hours/week.
  • Primarily rotating shifts (day/night or evening/night) or straight nights. Straight day shift positions are uncommon.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

  • 4NE/Complex Medical-Surgical - 90% day/night rotation; requires one year current/recent inpatient acute care nursing experience
  • 4SE/Cardiology and Medical Surgical - 90% day/night rotation; requires one year current/recent inpatient acute care nursing experience
  • 6NE/General Medicine/Cardiology – 90-100% day/night rotation; requires a minimum of 1 year current/recent med-surg experience.
  • 6SE/Complex Medicine– 90-100% day/night rotation; requires a minimum of 1 year current/recent med-surg experience.
  • 7NE/Medical Oncology/BMT – 90% nights or variable shifts; requires 1 year current/recent oncology nursing experience. 
  • 8NE/Blood & Marrow Transplant/Oncology 90% evening/night rotation; requires at least one year current/recent oncology nursing experience.
  • 8SA/Acute Leukemia – 90-100% nights or variable shifts; requires a minimum of 1 year current/recent oncology nursing experience.
  • 8N/Rehab – Per Diem, variable shifts; requires 1 year current/recent med-surg nursing experience; inpatient rehab nursing experience and CRRN preferred. Apply on  REQ-0000123040
  • 8NE/BMT – 90% day/night rotation; requires 1 year current/recent oncology nursing experience.
  • 8NE/BMT – 50% FTE, Monday-Friday, 1300-1700; requires 2 years current/recent oncology nursing experience and strong IV skills. Apply on REQ-0000126724

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; some positions may have additional specific requirements
  • BLS required
  • Active license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington required by start date

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$94,824.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$173,976.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Assistance BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour Night Shift Premium - $4.50/hour Evening Shift Premium - $2.50/hour Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour
