What You Will Do to Change Lives  


The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for activities and functions related to the administration of member care systems and member care in nursing areas and departments.  Employees in this role are required to participate in a structured on-call rotation, remaining accessible and prepared to respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe. Rotations are scheduled in advance. While on-call, employees must actively monitor communications (e.g., phone, email) and respond in accordance with operational protocols.

Full-Time | Shifts and days vary as needed


Expected starting wage range is $min - $mid. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.  The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.  Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. 


 


What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)  



  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have four (4) years of experience with two (2) in psychiatric nursing and two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; OR a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field and two (2) years of experience and one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.

  • Master’s Degree in psychiatric nursing or related field with experience in administration; or

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field with experience in psychiatric nursing and two (2) years of experience in nursing administration; or

  • Four (4) years of experience in nursing administration or supervision and with experience in psychiatric nursing.

  • Current valid licensure as an RN in the state of operation

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be CPR, BLS AHA, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment.

  • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver’s license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply



  • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.



  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)

The Stanislaus County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 16-bed acute inpatient faciltiy for adults 18+ experiencing a mental health illness related emergency. Admission is voluntary or involuntary (5150).
