Job Description - AD/ Sr. AD, Patient & Provider Solutions - ILD


Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $269,000.   The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements.  We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future.  Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site. 


 


The Associate Director, Access Solutions works with the Director, Patient Access Solutions TA lead for contributing to the design, development, and leading the implementation of the TA patient services.  Responsibilities for this role include operational oversight as well as direct management of tactics, including, programs designed to help patients afford our products as well as increase adherence (i.e.- copay programs, reimbursement services, hub services). This requires understanding brand strategy, collaborating with marketing, Trade, Access and reimbursement field teams, and A&I teams to develop the optimal patient services strategy across the hub provider, specialty pharmacies and external vendors.  Additional responsibilities include contributing to the design of and development of a Patient Services strategy to provide the optimal patient & provider experience across reimbursement, HUB services, Financial Support Programs, specialty pharmacies and patient adherence programs.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Develops and implements the patient support program services for assigned product (s) to provide the optimal patient & provider experience across reimbursement, hub services, financial support programs, specialty pharmacies and patient adherence programs.

  • Leads the execution, and management for the effective functioning of patient service programs across hub vendor, specialty pharmacies and other external vendors.

  • Coordinates day-to-day activities for the patient support program across all vendors including being the liaison with the Trade team on day-to-day interfaces with specialty pharmacy services.

  • Participates and assists in leading the design of innovative service offerings.

  • Collaborates with Market Research, Business Analytics, Contracting, Finance, Brand Marketing under the direction of manager to pull through insights into patient financial offerings, promotional material and tactical plans to meet assigned Brand objectives.

  • Ensures routine review of financial performance of programs to ensure programs meet the company's financial objectives.

  • Responsible for the development of promotional patient and reimbursement material in collaboration with brand marketing and field access and reimbursement, management of contracted vendors and dedicated resources to pull through day-to-day operations.

  • Ensures efficient vendor operation of multiple access programs (i.e., HUBs, patient financial assistance programs including copay programs, program materials, program training, call centers etc.) as determined by business objectives and program management.

  • Ensures all materials and programs are done compliantly and approved by our promotional review committee.

  • Works closely with Director and with appropriate functions that support customer facing teams such as Brand Marketing, Payor Marketing, Brand Marketing, Contracting & Pricing, Training and Development, Access and Reimbursement, Trade and Specialty and other Market Access Functions to ensure strong communication of all patient service programs.

  • Ensures "voice of the patient" and customer are incorporated into programs.

  • Assists Director with educating and training internal and field-based stakeholders (design and delivery of the training) and on financial case for using these programs and monitoring their need.

  • Develops at the direction of the director, patient access solutions, metrics to tracks and report effectiveness of programs across the entire patient services journey.

  • Ensures market insights and analytics are integrated into access strategies/tactics and collaborates and aligns with brand strategies.

  • Leads the execution of all patient reimbursement HUB services programs; this includes sharing results of metric audits, identifying solutions to improve metrics, and assisting in designing and implementing those solutions.


Requirements

Associate Director:



  • BA/BS degree; MBA preferred with three to five (3-5) years relevant market access, marketing, patient services or related experience.

  • Ability to execute patient services strategy and/or affordability programs.

  • Experience in Stakeholder management and driving collaboration across cross-

  • functional teams.

  • Experience with management of operational budget and contribution to strategies that affect gross to net discounts and demonstrated financial acumen preferred.

  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional projects internally and across vendors to enhance or update support programs as needed.

  • Successful track record of managing external vendors.

  • Detailed understanding of key customers especially commercial and government payer, PBMs, IDNs; reimbursement/affordability focus.

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, HIPAA regulations.

  • Several years' experience working with or in Patient Services HUBs preferable.

  • Experience with specialty products preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare Part B and D. Reimbursement process, health policy, specialty pharmacy experience preferred.


 


Sr. Associate Director:



  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution

  • MBA preferred with eight-plus (8+) years relevant market access, key account, marketing or other related experience

  • Ability to develop patient access and/or affordability programs and financial modeling.

  • Experience in Stakeholder management and driving collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with management of operational budget and contribution to strategies that affect gross to net discounts.

  • Demonstrated financial acumen

  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional projects internally and across vendors to enhance or update support programs as needed

  • Successful track record of managing external vendors

  • Detailed understanding of key customers especially commercial and government payer, PBMs, IDNs; reimbursement/affordability focus

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, HIPAA regulations

  • Several years experience working with or in Patient Access HUBs preferable

  • Oncology/Specialty experience required

  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare Part B and D. Medicaid and private payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, specialty pharmacy experience

  • detailed understanding of key customers especially commercial and government payer, PBMs, IDNs; reimbursement/affordability focus



Eligibility Requirements:



  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
