Job Description - ADHD Reform Associate

Policy & Regulatory Impact

1. Advancement, adoption, or measurable influence on policies related to controlled substance prescribing, ADHD treatment standards, and monitoring requirements

2. Active participation in legislative, regulatory, or advisory processes with documented contribution to policy discussions or outcomes

3. Establishment of partnerships with key policy stakeholders, agencies, or coalitions

Responsible Prescribing & Monitory

1. Increased adoption of evidence-based prescribing guidelines among targeted provider groups

2. Implementation or expansion of monitoring framework (e.g. follow-up protocols, risk assessments, prescription tracking)

3. Demonstrated reduction in indicators of inappropriate prescribing nor prescribing variability within targeted populations or partners

Misuse & Dependency Risk Reduction

1. Development and deployment of initiatives aimed at reducing misuse, diversion, and dependency risks

2. Measurable improvement in awareness and prevention strategies among providers and patients

3. Collaboration with clinical and research partners to track and address emerging risk trends

Education & Awareness

1. Launch and reach of patient, caregiver, and provider education campaigns focused on responsible ADHD medication use

2. Increase understanding of risks, benefits, and appropriate use as measured through surveys, engagement metrics, or partner feedback

3. Creation of high-quality thought leadership

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

1. Strength and growth of relationships with clinicians, advocacy groups, policymakers, and industry leaders

2. Formation of strategic coalitions or working groups aligned with the Foundation’s mission

3. Invitations to participate in panels, advisory boards, or speaking engagements as a recognized voice in the space

Data Insights & Reporting

1. Development of clear, data-driven insights on prescribing trends, policy gaps, and patient outcomes

2. Regular reporting to Foundation leadership on progress, impact, and emerging opportunities

Organization Alignment & Impact

1. Effective integration of advocacy efforts with the Foundations’ grantmaking, research, and communication strategies

2. Contribution to the Foundations reputation as a credible, balanced leader in mental health and medication policy

3. Progress toward long-term systemic change in how ADHD medications are prescribed, monitored, and understood
