The College of Education seeks experienced educators to serve as Clinical Supervisors for the teacher education program. The Clinical Supervisor serves as the critical link between school partners and the teacher education program. Clinical Supervisors provide essential coaching, mentoring, and guidance to help teacher candidates develop into professional educators.
The supervisor works with teacher candidates completing various licensure pathways in teacher education, including traditional student teaching placements, clinical practice permit placements, and job-embedded placements. The Clinical Supervisor's primary responsibilities center on observation, assessment, coaching, and providing feedback. Communication and conferencing are essential components of this role. The supervisor will meet and communicate regularly with teacher candidates, mentor teachers, and other stakeholders. This position requires experience in a PK–12 school setting and reports to the Director of Clinical Experiences.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Teaching License
• 3 or more years of experience in a PK-12 school setting
