Job Description - Adjunct Faculty, Welding CTEC

Location: CTEC

Role Overview:

As an adjunct faculty member, you will teach courses in welding, focusing on hands-on training in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Your contribution will be crucial in guiding students to develop the skills they need to succeed in the welding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional lectures and hands-on demonstrations to effectively teach welding techniques and safety practices.
  • Utilize industry-standard practices and curriculum to prepare students for real-world applications and job readiness.
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical exams, and feedback sessions.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher in welding technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry certification from AWS (American Welding Society) or a similar organization is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of practical welding experience in a professional setting.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, though not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of various welding processes and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage students effectively and adapt teaching styles to diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and tools to enhance classroom learning.
