Description
Disability Coordinator
Completion of forms submitted by patients in person, through email, or by fax.
Completion of forms sent in by third party disability companies.
Communicate with patients to help with disability questions/concerns, disability extensions, or to inform them that their forms are complete and ready for pickup.
Send release of information forms to patients to ensure that we are HIPAA compliant when providing information to employers and third-party disability companies.
Communicate with physicians regarding reasons for disability, extensions, etc.
Communicate with third party disability companies to confirm delivery/surgery information, return to work dates, etc.
Complete return to work notes.
Submit billing claims for the collection of disability form(s) processing fees
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School Graduate or equivalent required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus healthcare database systems required
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field preferred
Minimum 0-2 years’ experience required.
Three (3) years’ administrative support experience in a corporate environment preferred
