Admission Supervisor/Financial Consultant

Franklin County Memorial Hospital has an immediate opening for Admission Supervisor/Financial Consultant. This position is for full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 4:30.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ADMISSION SUPERVISOR: 

This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining Admission Clerk schedules.  As supervisor of the Admissions team, this person will review resumes and interview prospective employees to fill open positions.  They will also be responsibility for coordinating training for Admissions staff.  They should also command a professional, friendly and polite manner.

 JOB DUTIES

• SUPERVISE ADMISSIONS STAFF TO INCLUDE STAFFING, TRAINING, DISCIPLINE, AND TIME OFF REQUEST.


• PROVIDE 24/7 ADMISSIONS COVERAGE FOR THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT.

PATIENT ACCOUNTS/FINANCIAL CONSULTANT: 

This position will be responsible for speaking to patients in person or by phone who would like to pay on an account, have questions about their outstanding balances, and set up payment terms.  This person will also communicate with collection agencies regarding update on account balances in bad debt. 

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required and two (2) years college preferred.  One (1) year prior experience in a hospital or Physician’s office preferred.  Knowledge of insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and commercial, a plus.

Requires multi-tasking, extensive customer service skills, and the ability to handle stress in a fast paced working environment.  Integrity in maintaining confidential information.  Convey a positive, professional image and attitude.
